Automotive Detailer

Duffy Coachbodies have an immediate opportunity for an Automotive Detailer to join the team in our automotive manufacturing facility. The role will primarily be responsible for the refinishing of all paintwork. Duties will also extend to supporting the paint department in areas as required from preparation work, sanding/masking through to the paint process.

The selected candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the modern automotive polishing process and be familiar with the details of rotary & dual action polishing processes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring compliance to H&S / Quality processes and standards
• Preparation of existing paint surface for refinishing
• Repair of scratches, minor damage to panels
• Performing sanding, componding, polishing of vehicles.
• Communicating quality issues to staff.
• Undertaking other duties as required from time to time

Candidate Requirements:

• At least 2 years relavant experience.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and self-motivate
• Bodyshop paint preparation & spray painting would be an advantage but not a necessity (where required on-site training will be provided)
• Excellent timekeeping and attendance
