General Operative - Automotive

Duffy Coachbodies have an opportunity for an experienced General Operative with automotive experience to join the team in our automotive manufacturing facility. The role will involve the disassembly and assembly vehicle parts and components, A familiarity with automotive parts is required to aid in removing parts without damage and understand correct assembly procedures.

Relevant Experieve would include Motor mechanics experience / Bodyshop experience / crash repair / vehicle restoration.

Duties will also extend to supporting the General Assembly department in areas as required to maintain limousine and hearse production rates.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a high standard of work and talent in working to the tight tolerances of the automotive industry. Onsite training is expected but foundation skills and experience are required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Disassembly of vehicle parts.
• Modification of components.
• Light fabrication involving timber, plastics, composites, light metals.
• Communicating quality issues to the team.
• Developing skills on a consistent basis.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
• Garage experience, Bodyshop experience / crash repair / vehicle restoration.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and self-motivate.
